Android device setup

Install your Eatery Kiosk app directly.

Our restaurant apps install directly from Eatery Kiosk, so you do not need to use the Google Play Store. Download the right app below, allow the install when Android asks, and open it.

Eatery Kiosk self-order kiosk

Step two

Install it on Android.

Android may call this an app from an “unknown source” because it was downloaded directly from Eatery Kiosk instead of the Play Store. That is expected.

1

Open the download

After tapping an app download button, open the downloaded file from the browser notification or the Downloads folder.

2

Allow this source

When Android blocks the install, tap Settings and turn on Allow from this source for the browser or file manager you used.

3

Tap Install

Return to the installer, then tap Install. If this is an update, Android may show an Update button instead.

4

Open and sign in

Tap Open, sign in with your Eatery Kiosk device credentials, and complete your device setup.

Amazon Fire TV

Install the TV app on a Fire Stick.

Fire TV uses APK files. The Eatery TV app runs in landscape, stays awake, hides system controls, and opens the combined live menu board and order-status display.

1

Enable developer options

Open Settings → My Fire TV → About. Select the Fire TV device name seven times, then enable installation from unknown apps.

2

Install Downloader

Search the Amazon Appstore for Downloader, install it, and allow Downloader to install unknown apps.

3

Enter the TV download URL

In Downloader, enter https://eaterykiosks.com/tv, download the APK, and select Install.

4

Authorize the location

Open Eatery TV and use the remote to enter the device email and Staff PIN or Device PIN once. The display remembers that location.
